Soviet Surplus Plash Palatka Shelter Half

Designed as both a rain cape and a shelter half, the Soviet Plash-Palatka has been utilized by many since its introduction in WW2.  Like many designs that existed in its era, it is constructed from a durable cotton canvas, and it can be attached to another tarp to make a pup tent. The leather grommets on these pieces are an especially nice feature, adding to their overall durability.

These samples from American Pipedream are unissued, old stock. The durable heavy canvas can be treated with wax for enhanced waterproofing.
